      Re: Norwegian Royal Yacht "Norge"

Got info in another thread that RY NORGE is on her way to Kristiansund.
A misprint (must be) in the AIS say she will arrive 18. September 2013 at 00:00 UTC, but as we see on the print screen below, she's now anchored near Sveggesundet in Averøy west of Kristiansund.
She has been in and out of fjords, bays and "coastal back yards" as she has made her way northbound.
Have no idea whatsoever about the reason for this trip. Must be crew training and familiarization, as I doubt there are any royal person on board...

      Print screen via MarineTraffic
(Only now I notice that the AIS write our city name as wrong as Hurtigrutemuseet in Stokmarknes)

I know...., but there will be no photos from me. I'm in sick bay with the flu and fever(dunno)

Another thing I just found out, is that they are, (as I suspected), on an exercise tour with no advert on where they go and what they'll do....
After all, this is a navy vessel.

RY NORGE is sailing at 14 knots, soon abeam Tjeldbergodden gasplant, midway between Kristiansund and Agdenes. Still Kristiansund set as destination though...

                  Dear Sterkoder,

Hope you get well soon... she came to Trøndelag too, but not to Trondheim (OFF COURSE.... )

Earlier this afternoon she was crossing Folla on her way northwards.

                    Re: Norwegian Royal Yacht "Norge"

The Norwegian Royal Yacht is one of the last two royal yachts left in the world, and she is an amazing vessel in every sense of the word.

The second (or first) other royal yacht is the Danish Dannebrog.

Came across some articles about the Norge on a previous visit to Rørvik in Norway: second link contains some 35 interior images as well.

The Norwegian Royal Yacht NORGE came to town - and I must admit that I really love this vessel - she is amazing!

Here are the images from her visit in Trondheim, that I took:

Wonderful picture. It seems she sails on cotton wool.Just imagine the sound of water sliding on the hull.

Seems like all the images are gone.... that is the great disadvantage with linked images. The image-links brake, and images disappear when PB account expires for some reason.
