    Re: ::: Lofoten :::

    Lightroom...., do you have a suggestion for a link...? Anything in the 'free departement'??
    Yes, I see now that if I'm going to take more pictures in darkness, I might turn over to RAW.
    I have no photo programme which handles RAW at this stage.

      Great pictures!
      That is nice to have moored in a place where the stops are usually so short the rest of the year.

          I don`t know if this is any news. But the navigating officer on Lofoten told me today, that Lofoten is planned to sail as a Hurtigrute at least to 2020. Then they will decide what will happen forther on.............................

            This is news to me, at least (and great news, since I had previously read somewhere that Lofoten's future wasn't sure after 2014). Thank you for this, and for the pictures!

              Stepping in again after a while and so happy to see new pictures of the old lady. It is a good feeling to have her in duty for some more years, but i would not fix that to a certain year. As long as the contract requires a daily ship and as long as no new one is planned i will sleep calmly.

                I was talking with my travel companion about this and he had about the same thought. Our main worry now is : will Hurtigruten still operate similarly in 2020?

                  It's a stunning picture. I love how we can only guess the silhouette of the ship from the lights within and the lights reflection on the water. And it's so "crisp" and sharp. Thank you so much.

                    Oh Asimut, wonderful wonderful image and I’m sure you won’t mind …no…let me correct that to “I know you’ll be delighted”, that as we have one of our newer CVF family members Panji aboard Lofoten, I’ll make a cross reference to this in her voyage thread.

                              During my recent trip on board MS Lofoten, I had the chance to visit the engine room. I don't know much about engines, but it looked rather impressive. I was glad to see her on the "inside". (sorry if those photos were already posted in this thread).

                              I thing visiting a newer ship engine room would help me to realize how different it is.

                                Now that looks really genuine. At what point did they do the machine room visit?
