Great photos and a fantastic light.
A friend is on board from Bergen to Kirkenes and so I watched the webcam from the mountain. An unknown person steered it and he worked well and focussed to Lofoten. I don't believe my friend has an internet connection, but this is a reason to install it.

I would also like to take this opportunity to wish you a warm welcome to both Norway, and the ship Lofoten, this coming summer. I will make a special request to the person in charge, to make sure that you will have only the very best of weather for your whole trip. July is an amazing month to do this trip, and if you get some blue skies and fair seas, this journey will be one of the best that you have ever taken, I promise you!

Lofoten had some engine trouble over Vestfjorden yesterday.
                    http://www.lofot-tidende.no/nyheter/article5463144.ece

Sunday afternoon, the ship lost engine power due to overheating and was in drift on Vestfjorden. After getting the engine running again at nine o'clock the vessel went directly to Svolvaer without going to Stamsund.

"- They have found the cause, but I have no details about, "said Norum. He says that it is not common for ship engines overheated.

Lofoten had 70 passengers and 30 crew members on board, and there was no drama

Lofoten arrived Tromsø at the usual time today, so if there were any delay they have caught up with it by now

As far as I remember, there was some overheating-, / coolingwarter-problems also on the other "old" ship, NORDSTJERNEN, back in 2009.

(But of course mr. Norum don`t remember. He always remember the positive issues )

Even if it breaks my heart to say it, we HAVE to admit that these two beautiful "grandmother-ladies" are getting........ eh.......OLDER

Yes that’s right Martin, and it happened when I was onboard on the way to see you in Bodø! – I mentioned it recently in a Where is Hurtigruten? puzzle. But what a great opportunity for lovely evening views those problems resulted in –I still have more photos from that memorable voyage show you.
