    Goodbye Kristiansund.

Another of the ship’s “Farewell cards”.

As I had seen this notice earlier, and I was not booked for the restaurant, I figured I’d better eat earlier in the cafeteria before things got too hectic. And so I enjoyed a genuine Hurtigruten evening with good food, company and conversation. It scarcely seemed any time at all before we arrived in Molde.

I’m thinking now that each port had its own distinctive welcome and farewell. There was music here too, but in the form of folk – fiddle – music, plus accompanying instruments.

There seemed to be a very long queue of people wanting to come aboard.

It had started to rain a little, but whether due to this or pre-planned, the musicians came aboard ship. I mentioned “accompanying instruments” didn’t I! As soon as I realised what was happening, this was the one I was waiting for to make an interesting photo!

@cecilia, the guy in the corner was Ragnar Norum, the Communication director of the Hurtigruten-ASA.
                      with kind regards,

I had discovered that I still had some photos from a summer trip on my iPad, and was able to resume an earlier conversation about the Kristiansund sundbåts, but this time illustrated! We were still chatting about the adventures of Sundbåten Syver when we realised we were nearly at Ålesund!

I did not know, as I disembarked, that our CVF member HurtigruteHelge was boarding, and
                          this
is the post to read and the photos to see for the continuation of Nordstjernen’s voyage.

But for me it was to be, once again, “Goodbye Nordstjernen … Hello Nordstjernen”.

In the final episode:- will I reach Bergen in time for Nordstjernen’s arrival?

Excellent Keelson….I wasn’t sure, but I should have realised it would be the top man, given all your forum do for publicising Hurtigruten!

                              Cecilia:
Ah, great......, I just enjoy your images so much!!
And one thing I want to say, and I belive I've mentioned it before:
I'm very happy about the way you "hauled" me around and carried the envelope so that I could take the few pictures on board that I did.
Couldn't have made it without you.

To see oneself "in action" is a rather peculiar thing, but kind of nice too..., to see how I look when I feel nerdy
