The anchor(s) is one thing...., looks bad...., but what's the story behind that horrible line between the black and red????

    And another thing:
The funnel we all wnet crazy about when it came (black with the new HRG logo), is it really that bad looking...?
After getting used to it and after looking at these images, I feel like it looks quite ok on the Star..., don't you think??

I`m not sure if i follow you on the line between the black and red, do you mean the waterline? Apparently they ran out of masking tape many years ago from the looks of it

And yes i agree with you regarding the funnel, she wears the new logo very well in my opinion! It doesnt look too good on the stralsund class sisters tho.

Oh yes..., I mean the waterline for sure!!
Please crew, if you read this; you can't be serious. Who else in the business of running a classic old ship would sail around like that!!????!!??

Agreed, that line should be 100% crisp.

The boot top could have done with a proper line: that just looks awful, absolutely awful!

The funnel looks "allright" in bad weather, but only that also. I miss the TFDS colors up there... the ship look much more alive.

.... and the image is absolutely brilliant.

There seems something wrong with the port anchor...? Is it broken....?

.... but all credit to Speedbird for his wonderfully clear photos of this poor old lady.

After my night watch on the ferry this morning, I climbed up to a great new vantage point above the fjord waiting for the Nordstjernen to pass by, on a mirror like fjord, blue sky and with some cotton white clouds...

But after waiting from 10:00 hours till around 13:30... I simply gave up.

She was still in port just before 14:00 hours, and I know now why: "technical problem in the engine" (again...).

I admire your effort to wait for a good motif...., but anyway; I guess you at least got some nice apps for your phone from the waiting??

I hope you all liked my Nordstjernen images of yesterday, and if not, what about these taken when she was back on northbound journey a few days ago:
