Especially if you fill your screen with the image (should not be too hard) and stare at it for 5 minutes straight...

    I get sea sick too....

Thankfully, these were only for display on this trip:

I really HOPE AND PRAY that this sign was taken off the ship and given to the Hurtigruten Museum at Stokmarknes, before she is handed over:

If you all think I walked around and around and around the ship throughout my hours on board, you are correct....

    Dear Lady C,

Thank you very much for that insightful comment.

    Dear Sterkoder,

Thank you very much for sharing that Vega-link.

I sit here wondering WHO bought the old lady and in what form we will see her in the future... only time will tell.

While we wait for the official announcement, I continue with me final impressions of the ship: two images from the after decks again:

Continuing the walk around the ship with you in your images on that quiet trip to Rørvik, I’m thinking what a perfect complement this is to my busy passenger-packed last voyages.

You had the space to crouch on the stairs for an unexpected angle and poke the camera behind and under and around …corners …doors …railings ….but I’m kidding myself imagining that I’d ever have the genius to have taken this.

That pakarang way with the whiteness of light embraces the deep orange of a lifeboat in so assured and masterful a fashion – as in #1751 which captures a mood whilst at the same time documenting every knot and tie and mounting and rivet.

And, as has already been admired, the way you have of conveying motion through the water, a way you pioneered in photographs of your own most modern of ferries, now perfected aboard this old Lady going “full speed ahead”.

Thank you Sterkoder for that link. I hadn’t seen all those pictures of what was going on aboard after I had gone ashore! Liked the engine room ones especially.

Don't know if this has been posted before, but here are 26 pictures from Brønnøysund Avis (newspaper in Brønnøysund), as NORDSTJERNEN visited the island Vega in August
