Fantastic find Jan-Olav! Great to see those pictures.

Must ask the question though, what is that pipe for on her port quarter? At first i thought drainage from the deck, but it seems to be slightly above the deck level?

I am sure one of our Australian insiders can enlighten us

In post number 318 on page 16, it was speculated that it was some kind of drainage for the newly installed air condition plant.

            Well spotted.

Has anyone got her on AIS? As far as I know, she disappeared off the radar shortly after leaving Las Palmas.

Since CV don't have a direct upload of images from your own pc (haven't found one yet), I personally use http://www.photobucket.com to store my selected images.
From there to this writingfield in this forum, I use 'IMG Code' (appears when you place your pointer on a stored picture), copy and paste.
Of course you have to register at photobucket, but that cost only a very short times work and is totally free.

I think it's kind of cool thinking about Finnmarken now having arrived safely in such an exotic port such as Perth/Fremantle.

She has traveled so far, and she is now in such a totally different setting.

If anyone would be able to get images of her at the other side of the world, it would be awesome.

I'm wishing her all the very best for her Australian mission, and hope she will beautifully fulfill all her requirements according to her contracts.

                        Dear Pindakaas,

Thank you so very, very much for sharing your images of the beautiful Finnmarken in your exotic Australian port. She looks stunning, and just like a wonderful super yacht!

5-10 years ago, I would never have guessed that this ship would ever sail to a country that far away from Norway.

I'm starting to really like the white look of Finnmarken...

Did you all get to use the swimming pool on the long way down? I hope you all performed the traditional baptism at Equator... and I'm sure that King Neptune enjoyed performing the rituals for all of you on board.

The new black paint on the letters might have peeled off during the long voyage, it happens sometimes.

Hey, they have turned Finnmarken's AIS on again, at least briefly. This data is 3 days old (valid at about 23:00 7 March 2010 ship's local time).

                                Latitude / Longitude: -32.05023˚ / 115.7443˚ (from marinetraffic.com)
Nearby places: North Fremantle, Fremantle, East Fremantle

That's the first (public) update since Las Palmas.
