You are a true "news-reporter", Sterkoder.

The bad news is that I have to wake up SOOOO early, to have my morning coffee in one of my HURTIGRUTEN "coffee-deal"-cups, watching Hurtigruten on my TV.
And at the same time have my computer online on CV, waiting for images from Westcon/Ølen.

14:00 Her AIS and webcams show she's still in Ølen. I will check again when I get home this evening.

AIS still indicates Ølen but the data is over 2 days old now so I think they may have turned the AIS box off.

However, webcam also shows Ølen so who knows?

Live image - it will change. And where are the two little white boats, I've not seen them for the last 10 days?

Do we have an insider at Ølen?

I know of someone who's been talking to a person on the "inside". That "inside" person said that the departure yesterday was canselled, but didn't say anything about why.
The rumours now is that the departure will be later today, Saturday, but I guess we just have to wait and see.

We've had several cancellations on the west coast and the Northern Isles because of the storms there is also a risk of further cancellations today. http://www.northlinkferries.co.uk

I don't know how the ferries further south are coping.

Just checked up Finnmarken's webcam, and she appears to be on the move!

My hope is now, that if we have anyone in the Karmøy or Stavanger area, please please get us an image of the ship as she is just about to depart out to sea and away from Norway! Please.

Do we have anyone in Stavanger area with a good telephoto lens, which can go to the seashore and grab a picture when she sails by?

We could off course wait till January 30th when she is due to arrive at Las Palmas at 14:00 hours.

I certainly hope there might be.

Well, like pakarang I’ve been keeping a close eye on things:-

These were the very last two webcam images showing the view we had become accustomed in these weeks of waiting . . .

                          . . . then she was here for some minutes . . .

                          . . . before finally moving off

Not among my favourite hurtigrutes as I have admitted elsewhere on these pages , but nevertheless I can tell you I am feeling so very emotional this morning . . . well yes, actual tears . . .

"Finnmarken" under Karmsundet bridge at 1:15 PM today (Yes, I "stole" the picture from another forum, sorry!!)

Another set of "stolen" images as she was seen out Bømlofjorden at 11:55 AM

Thanks to the photographers for letting me steel their pictures (as they should know anything about it). For their info, I have not stored them on my pc or anything, only copy and paste used...

That looks indeed very ---ehhhhh.... strange. I have grown so accustomed to seeing this ship in black and red, that seeing her like this, in all white, is a bit of special sight.

She looks like a large yacht... but maybe even a bit too white. Even the funnel is white.

There is two things I notice though: there is something hanging off the aft mooring deck, and there is something like a canvas rolled up above the windows to the spa on the aft (above the pool area).

These are images I keep on looking and staring at: almost mesmerizing.

As before, I'm going a bit OT:

I'm not only seeing a totally white "Finnmarken" passing by, but also hundreds of beds on their way to Las Palmas and further more to Australia.
                                So here's my question:
I know a ship company don't go out in the media to advertise for the possibility, but if a guy (or a couple) contacted the company of a vessel (Hurtigruten ASA this time) and asked to come along on the ride to have a vacation in LP or Australia for that matter...., what would the company say??
On this trip in particular, and if you payed for the food yourself, I guess it would not matter to have a guest or two extra for the company....., and hokus-pokus, you could have your way to warmer areas for "free".
(Of course, the return ticket would cost you some money though).

                                This leads to another question:
I wonder if it's possible to make my (or anyones) way around the world on ships going from A to B if you contact the owner and payed for your own exspence. I know large cargovessels some times have a few cabins for passengers......

Oh, I belive this turned out to be a little more than just "a bit OT"...., but that's me...
