A very new scanning-system has taken place aboard Finnmarken. I think it is called "Fidelio" or something like that.

That means you have to scan your boarding-card almost everywere aboard.

When time for breakfast. You have to "BIIP" yourself in to registrer how much you eat..........

And also when buying a newspaper or a cup of tea in the cafeteria, you have to scan your boarding-card. Some of us norwegian passenger thought this was a bit annoying. But the japaneese nodded and smiled all the time.

Kong Harald was the first ship to install this new digital system. Polarlys was the following ship. And now it was Finnmarken`s turn. All ship will have this system installed........

On board there are already Christmas mood.

And some of the crew-ladies are making some "extra gifts" for the soon boardering new Hotel-manager. There are indeed a very good mood among the staff aboard this ship.

The Hotel-managers request was NO blue things on the Christmas-tree. So the ladies found some very interesting blue things. Just to "please" the manager..

Thanks, cecilia, for linking to my "trip report" !!
I clicked on the link myself, and suddenly I got aware: I did not post a picture of FINNMARKEN.
(Of course this is due to the fact that for once in life...., the photographer was on board) :-D

How do you know that your Quadcopter is going to come home, and not just take a nose dive into the fjord taking the camera with it?

    Dear Bengt,

That last picture is actually quite awesome. Reminds me of the numerous arrivals I have witnessed in Rørvik over the years.

Here is a recent video I did: you might all recognize the ship in this video, or not?

Just highlights from my "flight of the day" - September 19th 2013 - at two different locations in Trondheim: first at the port, and then a flight at Ringve Botanical&

I think - and I've said it before - that this is the most well proportioned HRG ship today. She is just beautiful looking and through your imagery, perfect!

Yes but be sure to get quick at the stern after passing this point. The ship's trace on the water shows some nice curves then...
