#894/1: I have not seen such a wonderful stern picture for a long time. These round shape is really beautiful (you remember what E. and the Captain always think about it?).

I'd completely missed Martin's new posts until I spotted Linray's message. Great photos from FM - and I agree with Ralf, the trip reports are some of the best bits on the forum!

It seems to be the favourite ship for a lot of people so we were delighted when we discovered the Northern Lights Voyage with the flight from Glasgow was on MS Finnmarken.

Great to hear about your plans. I'm pretty sure that Finnmarken will not let you down regarding your expectations. Don't forget your swimwear - the pool is actually pretty awesome.

Just advanced warning that we are doing a Northern Lights Voyage on MS Finnmarken, from Tromso and return, at the end of February. I have never been on board this ship let alone sail on her so very much looking forward to the voyage. Hopefully have some interesting pictures to post, that is if I ever get round to finishing the Trip Report from Nordstjernen in 2012!

I particularly like the one you took of Trondheim in the morning. The light is really beautiful!

You have also come really far with your photographs - very delightful and enjoyable looking at great photos! Keep up the good work!

Oooh, finally a trip report again. I will never get tired of studying these, i am smiling about the blue thingies in the tree, giggling about the new beep system and laughing out loud about the coffee machine. I guess it is a WMF, but for sure they also have exchangable signs for different languages. Ask the staff to hand it over to you and fix it. In exchange they could offer you a coffee deal for free. I will return the thread again and again to watch the wonderful pictures and comment my favourites.

When I woke up in the harbour of Trondheim, there was a nice light over the city

And all of the sudden the mountains noth of the Trondheimsfjord became pink

And the artofficial lights reminds us that Trondheim always has been an important harbour for Hurtigruten

Out on the Trondheimsfjord we pass the Flakk-Rørvik- route. And of course I had to be outside to study our Captains ferry KORSFJORD

Both Flakk-Rørvik ferries together. And when they met, it almoust seems that they were closing the gate behind us

And now it is time to show what we are seeing when sitting in the Panorama-lounge or out on deck

Beautiful colours up north where my favourite mountains are.

    Here Hestmannen from different angles

    And the island of Lurøy

And south of Sandnessjøen, of course our great Seven Sisters

Hurtigruten is a great part of the Norwegian culture and history. And the company is Norwegian. But in more tham one way, the "official language" on board is GERMAN. As you can see, the official name for CUP (kopp) is TASSE...........

But Finnmarkens own "Postman Pat" was Norwegian. He stamped official Arctic Circle - stamps. And as you can see. It costs 85 NOK.....
