Strange is to be mild... she is REALLY strange, but at the same time, I'm sure she is very suitably built for the purpose she is needed. Truly a very different design, but I'm sure she is perfect at what she does.

with a lot of coloring taken into the sun.
the ''fjord'' though in the Boskalis colors, stil without the boka part in front of the name.

                  moored in Rotterdam

A massive ship built for a special task and for her segment.

She was actually built as a barge, (just like the Giant 6 behind her) converted to HLV later in life.

                      that was a major overhaul.
not easy to find good images of her then, but got one

also weird, according to marine traffic the last position of ''Fjord is Piraeus Greece and the last date is 19-12-2017,
while i take the image a few weeks back

                    Interesting background.

I checked AIS too, and she was last spotted at Piraeus back in December 2017.

If she has switched off her AIS for that a long time, it would be rather strange.

And she is not moored that long there.
Is it allowed to sail without the AIS?

Another special cargo for Boka Vanguard. Intended to be the world's longest "vessel",at 430 m. LOA. The final "Havfarm 1", an offshore floating fish farm, measure a length of "only" 385 m:

also i thought with the new crane at the aft that the jacket lifting system wouldend be placed anymore,
nut the story here says that it will be attached when it is needed

have frist made a lot of typo's undone, stupid smartphone.
Or big fingers using stupid smartphone.
The main planners of the design team would kep there job i suspense, they are the brains of how it have to be.
Of course they will, until the business sinks without trace. Yes, I wouldn't mind seeing something like the Pioneering Spirit moored off Gorleston.

those big fingers are used to and made for pressing on big truck switches, not for tiny Phone keys.

I thought that the Pioneering Spirit delivered the Brent topsides at Yarmouth/ Gorleston. But not in the port itself.
She transfered them on a barge offshore.
Don't know if she was vissable from the coast

Yes, I seem to remember hearing something about that, whether from you or not I don't know. But I'd love to have seen it, even if it was only a speck in the distance.
