        Hey that's some nice videos.
Vrey good that you kept them quite short, that makes them more interesting to watch.

A very different car ferry for a change:

Two Harbour Master units, one on either side, fore and aft for propulsion. Simple, but efficient.

PS> The blue "box" hanging over the side contains one of the Propulsion Units.

              Cute! Good pictures Yves.

Also nice to see a French ferry going - Britanny Ferries suffering big time from industrial action here in the UK - nearly all of the Western Channel crossings not running.
              Cheers,

              Mark.

Yes Mark. After all England is still an island!
Note that the ferries in Seine river are runned by the CONSEIL GENERAL (county consil) and the crossing is free (no charge) for customers.

The nearest we English get to the Norwegian Ferries across the Fjords ... the Isle of Wight Ferry. Loading at the berth in Southampton this afternoon.

Car Ferry or Cruise Ferry - I don't know, but this thread seems as good as any for Mont St Michel today - looking for the gold at the end of the rainbow somewhere between Portsmouth and Yves!!

                          Cheers,

Probably the last one from Southampton, but I didn't realise I had this one! The derelict piers are a huge contrast to the plush cruise berths in the town, and the petrochemical plant at Fawley isn't doing a lot for the skyline as the Red Osprey leaves the berth bound for Cowes. Early on Saturday morning.

                              Cheers,

The brand new Torghatten Nord ferry, Værøy has just left the shipyard in Gdansk and is on her way north to Bodø. Her sister "Landegode" is already in Bodø. Their schedule :

                                Ar. Sandnes Sunday at 8am.
                                Dep. Sandnes Sunday at1pm
Ar. Trondeim Monday at 4:30pm. Open ship 5pm to 6pm
                                Dep. Trondheim Monday at 8pm
                                Ar. Bodø Tuesday at 5pm

I've already notified Jan-Olav, and I hope some photographers will be in Trondheim or in Bodø to welcome the ferry I'll take care of her two other sisters, "Barøy" and "Lødingen", which will be delivered soon I hope, and they will be in service between Lødingen and Bognes.
