Only just caught up with this thread, some fantastic photographs all the way through.

I absolutely love Tom's photos in Gothenburg. This one looks like Charisma is about to eat up the two tugs for her breakfast!!

      Thanks

It was kind of luck that the 2 tugs just came along while waiting for a late incoming Carisma

Wow!...., me too want a lense that can take a sharp image of a ferry at Flakk from Nordnorge (mohahahaha)

Joke aside, here's a PV-image of "Stril Poseidon"

When I see this thread, and the wonderful images within, I'm surprised how much of a brand name a pakarang shot has become....

I think it was first Lady C who first identified the style I think....

                      It was indeed me pakarang!

You had mentioned your liking for a head on kind of view, following which Sterkoder posted a birthday card photo for you on your Birthday Eve in 2009.

I immediately responded with “Brilliant Birthday card Sterkoder, I love it, the classic ship pakarang view!!!!!
….and it just sort of caught on!!!!!!

I simply haven’t had time to look out some examples, but here is a very unusual one just to make up for my lack of presence in this thread. The pakarang view of an ice ship! Taken in Magic Ice in Svolvær on the Nordnorge trip.

The lighting changes colour...naturally I had to wait for the blue!

Ah ha - if Tommi can have a Pakarang view that isn't quite head on - so can I - somewhat different weather though!!

                          Cheers,
