Hehe. Was she sailing with autopilot or do they still use RMC steering?

You can see the RMC operator in the left corner of the picture, so no autopilot.

That is so cool.... I see that it's a model ship, but where did you find this awesome set up?

There is something awe inspiring and yet chilling about that image - difficult to explain. So many lives onboard, cocooned in one solitary, confining, small world which just moves steadily on in the darkness which wraps around it, moves on to ......where?
One could weave all kinds of tales around that picture!

It actually was a bit chilling, so we returned from the deck to the party after just a short while. :-)

I was seeing that image as a basis for a book cover or movie poster.

Awesome image... that would be an awesome image for a nautical thriller!

Not a "Pakarang view" but the ship on view is named Kota Pekarang:

She became the largest ship to call at Wilmington NC. a few days ago:

Nice. But I would have preferred a cruise ship to be named after me. LOL

Could we call this "inverted pakarang view"?

                    Haha! Yes we could indeed!

An inverse pakarang of the tug Montfred docking out - a bit symbolic picture due to the current times:
