    That former HAL-ship certainly has a lot of strength in her - still sailing today!

    I don't remember her building year but suppose it would be late 60's maybe?

      She was built in France and delivered 14.05.1983 as Nieuw Amsterdam.
      I believe the hull was originally designed as a Container ship, but this was changed to become a Cruise ship on delivery.

                  I'm quite sure it's the entrance of the harbour in Heimey,Vestman island,Iceland.There is a picture on the thread Acruise aboard the Soleal.General maritime interrest.

                      lovely photos and so good to see the Marco Polo there... She is quite old now , but I am pleased to say I enjoyed my cruises with her in 2006 and 2007.... thats was the true days of cruising .
