Re: Cruise Ships of the World

Great photos. Funny - the world feels so big some times, and yet Artania's due into Honningsvåg on the 24th May this year (http://www.nordkapphavn.no), and four more times during the season. These ships don't half do some mileage.
    Cheers,

    Mark.

This ship, seen at the new Marina Cruise Terminal in Singapore yesterday, MAY even get the attention of our busy Captain cum photographer:

I walked a little further along at Marina South Pier to get rid of that lamp post:

I know, it can be done in Photoshop, but I'm an old fashion guy.

She was not alone at the Cruise Terminal:

But our expert ship spotters may even identify her from what little is seen here???

OK, here is a little more of the "mystery" ship:

And than there were only one ship left:

This one even with raindrops on the window.

Yesterday I took this video of the Saga Sapphire in Tromsø.
Tore Ljøkjel was playing saxophone onboard the Nordnorge at the same pier.

Doubt that this is ALASKA as stated in the ad:

Norwegian Breakaway ain't no beauty, no matter from which angle you see her:

Looks like a "Block", with Hotel and Shopping facilities and a Children's playground on the roof.
I wish they would remove the moniker "Norwegian" from the name of this and some of the other ships of this same company.

I also found this Cruise Ship on FleetMon today:

                          Does it look familiar???

Another Cruise Ship found on FleetMon today:

This one is a bit different from the .... Breakaway.
Yes it is a cruise ship, not a Sail Training Ship. That's probably why I cannot find a single picture of this vessel under full sails. (Stay sails, yes, but not the square sails)

PS> Looking at the rigging, there is no need to go aloft to furl sails here. Probably all done by little winches and controlled from a computer.

she looks better then the ''Epic'',pitty of the graffity on the bow,but we wil never love ships models, like those from the past.
but we had taken a day of (april 26) so we wil racen to and from Rotterdam that weekend.(she wil sail 2 times into Rotterdam)
                            best regards Thijs

Here is another Cruise ship that looks better than the Epic, or Breakaway, or..........(You name them)
Seen at Singapore Cruise Terminal at Harbourfront today:

These pictures could just as well have been posted in the HSC thread.
Here she is from the other side:

But with a Bunker tanker alongside.

It proved difficult to get a good picture of the Europa today.

Brand new Aidastella at Ijmuiden, 14th April (last Sunday). Also a lamp-post and some parked cars!

She's big - the panorama didn't work without clipping the top off her. Wonder if she'd look better without the silly paint job?

                                Cheers,
