Re: Cruise Ships of the World

Since it is Saturday and the new Marina South Cruise Centre has it's first ship alongside, I just HAD to go and have a look.

If there were any teething problems on the first day, it was not noticeable to a casual visitor. Everybody who visited in whatever capacity and for whatever purpose received a "goodibag" with some Potato chips, a Cupcake, a bag of dried Crane- and Blue- berries and a cup of drinking water. This included every Taxi driver that dropped, or picked up passengers there.

Nice touch, but it isn't what makes for a smooth operation. If there were any problems, we will be reading all about it tomorrow.

I took a few pictures during our short visit, but before we go there, do you remember this picture of the new Cruise Centre, taken 15. Febr. 2010??:

This place is able to handle the biggest Cruise ships in existence at the moment, the Oasis class. If anybody should build anything bigger, the extension will be ready to receive them. That is Singapore.

Awesome shots... so amazing to see one of the big and new RCI ships being stationed in the region now.

It'll mean a lot to the cruise growth in Asia.
