I guess this small HSC is primarily an ambulance boat, or does it run on scheduled commercial trips as well?

The route starting from Skjervøy,covering Kvænangen roadless villages, as well as Vorterøya. The boat also has assignments as a freight and ambulance boat.

Tyrhaug as a giant big "linselus" .... (I don't have a proper English word for someone who always tries to enter into an image they are not intended for).... on June 10th 2019:

Frovær is still laid up and her future is still uncertain, as far as I know:

Thanks for sharing that image of Mårøy... this time, I suddenly realised she has a modified exhaust outlet on the stern.

This was a problem on the good old SKOGØY as well, as a Chief Officer having to spend hours each day in that thick diesel smoke.

The design of these three is called OMA-CAT 39M

Fjorddronningen looks so much like the two HSC's that was recently delivered to the Pear River Delta in China / Hong Kong a few days ago.

I guess they are of the same design - the Chinese ones had a top speed of an amazing 37 knots!
