Did anyone see the news bulletin from Maasmondmaritime today?

I saw this ocean going fishing boat converted to a yacht, and immediately thought about F3: Norwegian Epic.... looks like her smaller sister...

        These were my thoughts, too.
This would be the right gift for the owners of Norwegiam Epic and they should be obliged to spent at least 4 weeks of their holidays in there, prefered to be moored in the elegant yacht marinas of Nice and Monaco.

A good view of the ship.

I can't help thinking that she reminds me of some of the tower blocks that have been/are being demolished with the residents moved to other types of housing.

The Norwegian Epic has arrived in Miami, at least in the form of the model:

I think he is trying to use rapid hand movement to distract you from looking at the ship. The worst thing they can do is show exterior pictures.

                        NCL Epic Ship

Hi I LOVE the Esthetic of the old White Ships. They where Romantic and les impersonal. These new line of NCL Ships are real UGLY. When the architects where thinking in design they though of the Noahs Ark in Ararat Mountain, a rectangular box. If a Giant Wave comes, it can not turn the Ship around. Thats good, but not for one or two weeks tourist ships. If The company does not think of Esthetic the architect can't think in it either. To me these Ships looks like Mega shopping centers floating. A Prediction

I predict that within our lifetime, this ship will see the beach of the breakers, and all of her curvy cabin pods will be loaded on top of the cabins of the Pride sisters, and used as housing for the workers. I do not think that this ship was built as something to last very long. Long enough for passengers' tastes to change. I wonder if these ships hulls and power plants are as disposable as todays interiors. And that ship building has evolved into one that creates ships for only today. I have read that the France as built to receive nuclear propulsion and the SSUS was built with multiple compartments and 2 engine rooms for use in war time. It's a shame designers are held to such contraints of fickle passengers. And shipbuilders have advanced so much. There is a lot of talent going to waste to carry a bunch of people who think an exotic cruise is only a buffet and a big pool for their children to pee in.

I hate that most of cruising has gone ultra huge and tacky. There are very few options now to cruise on a small ship without paying a high premium.
