I was surprised, that there are such a lot of ships named Canopus, when i was searching for nearer information.
But i found her. She seems currently to be in a good shape compared to earlier pictures.

All stars and planets regularly used in celestial navigation is popular name for ships, either as only name or more commonly, as part of the name.

I wasn't aware, that this is a star's name. Now i looked and is even part of the constellation "ship". Only to see from the Southern hemisphere. That's an excuse for me, haven't been in that half of the world yet.

"Koningin Juliana"south Tromsø strait yesterday evening.

Unusual way of flying the flags; the national flag on port yard arm and the Quarantine flag on the gaff.
It should be the other way around. Old fashion flag rules doesn't appear to be part of maritime education or seamanship any more.
At least they are flying the Flag of courtesy on Stbd. yard arm on the foremast, as it should be.
