This morning may very likely be the highlight of the trip...Fram approaching Dublin and sailing up the river Liffey! We are moored right in town, and step from ship gangway straight to pavement along the quayside road. I took many ship photos on the way in, including cruise ship Le Boreal. Didn't take any of the organised tours today but enjoyed a lot of the sights and friendly atmosphere, and a little James Joyce of course! Oh and Guinness!

Just seen the previous post Ralf. YES I did photograph that ferry in the Scilly Islands yesterday, even without seeing your request (as I was without wifi all day).

Here the Fram webcam showing nice weather in Cobh:

    Tomorrow they will visit Dublin.
No recommendments from my side, since there is for sure enough and i can give no "insider tips".
    Have a nice day, Cecilia!

The Fram webcam is showing open sea. So i guess they about to arrive at Scillys. Weather seems to be great and i hope to see some great pictures of the charming village later.

Tomorrow they will visit Cobh (former Queenstown).
Here you can do a walk on the Titanic Trail, which leads you to the places the emigrants went to, before they left Europe.

The history can also be visited in a museum:

A lot of people recommend Dave's Coffee House at the main road.

Today they are in Portsmouth. No nice view from the ships webcam.
Tomorrow they are on the Isles of Scilly.

I would like to see some pictures of the Scillonean III, their little ferry and post ship.

On the islands there is the smallest football league of the world. Two teams have 16 matches per year - always against each other. See here some pictures:

Thanks Ralf for your Guide to Hamburg and everyone for all your greetings!
My cabin is the same one I've always had on Fram...338.

Now Seagull, the adventure is getting nearer. Where's your cabin? Can we see you waving from your balcony? And we all wish you a bon voyage!

Great webcam saves! You'll have to wait for my photos and the one "cabin-mate" took when Seagull and Wherrygirl met for a leisurely afternoon lunch!

When we realised Fram was arriving backwards, we decided to take photos from the other side of Tower Bridge, near our lunch venue, so these should perfectly complement those webcam views. We then scampered along in time to see the ship mooring alongside HMS Belfast. Fram certainly attracted the attention of the tourist crowds, and yes she hooted and it sounded wonderful!

So I'll be leaving tomorrow in the right direction!!!!!!
