My last three images of a serene, very satisfying trip right round the Biesbosch nature reserve - a trip to remember.

Greatly enjoying this delightful leisurely and relaxing boat trip. Many of the views are reminding me of sailing along some of the parts of the Gøta Canal in Sweden, minus the tow path. The atmosphere is the same, as is the extra pleasure that comes from following the route and context on a map.

we try to give the CV family the feeling that they where with us that day,Cecelia

if we follow the map of 66-3 the pink line,we came out of the aeria after having troubbles with the engine, which ask for oil,i drove to the service station at point 1,take some feul aswel and 1 liter of oil and trow it almost all in the engine.

(btw the pink 1 is hard to see,but just follow the line.

after that we drove to point 2 and taken images of the former pilotvessel ''Gotthilf Hagen''.

Thijs will tell you exactly where this was:

But I can tell you that these are spoonbills! We spotted them while walking along the purple line in #66.2 above, just before we reached the purple no. 3 on that map. Thijs has better images of them which should follow.

Am I right in saying that in your picture we stood at the end of the bridge at the top of the image, looking to the left of the photo?
You know, it's a strange feeling in a way, visiting these places. First I see them as posts in your various threads, starting with Woerkum and Kinderdijk, then your gardens with the latest on the plants (and the elephant on his hill-top), this shipyard area at Gorinchem and all the new works to dig out the drainage trenches, and as I study the photos I have little idea at the time that one day I will be standing there looking at those very scenes.
                              Bring on the spoonbills, then.
