Thijs, these are superb, all of them. That one at #28.2 is a real eyeball to eyeball one, as is 32.2, both perfectly focused on the eyes. The first photos look like the same bird as in Henny's "parrot". What happened to the one that had to be rescued out of the water? Was it after fish? And as a contrast to the strong marking on the other birds I love the soft pattern on the owl at #36.2
                Astounding pics., Thijs.

that he flew into the water was of the noise, there were some dogs
the noise maker was this here, the whole day you can buy a ticket for a 10 minutes trip.

You have caught the bird's head beautifully sharp in that first one, Thijs. Yet it is the second one I like best because there is such a wonderful feeling of great speed with just that one wing clearly focused. A great shot.

OK, here is one, not strictly an animal but couldnt find a better thread. (Mod, feel free to relocate this post !)

This poor fellow was trapped in a subsea installation, and subsequently died due to its own struggling. If anyone's interested I can put a few more pics including an underwater shot!

I may not like looking at it but maybe the underwater shot would be interesting - showing the danger to marine life our installations can be.

                                Re: Animal shows

I recall seeing a Youtube video of a ROV trying to free a sailfish stuck in some underwater oil gear (maybe a B.O.P.?). I wonder what the bosses back at corporate said when they found out that their $10'000 per hour ROV operated from a $100'000 per day ship was freeing a stuck fish on company time.
