Thank you Yves. It just takes so long to brush my face in the morning.

But Nari, we're all beautiful in our own way! I should perhaps have invested some time in dental hygiene before the photoshoot though!

You could do with some aesthetic dental work, perhaps, Mark.

Didn't seem to fit in any other threads, but I got a new passport photo at the weekend. Meets the new requirements - not smiling, looking at the camera, neutral expression, no glasses etc.

Still not sure it shows me in my best light though.

When I was last in Norway I tried to obtain a collection of Baake's drawings but was told he has never compiled them into a book. Pity....he is just so spot on with people's behaviour.

When I was much younger we had a tidal pool for fish, built of cobblestones and about the size of a U-shaped sports field.
It had two large groupers who came to the steps to be fed crabs, plus about 6 Maori wrasse of all ages who did the same. Rock cod and eels slid in and out between the stones as they pleased. There were never any brawls or fights, despite the large range and size of the fish. It was a BIG attraction for all visitors, mostly yachties from Hawaii and often Japanese trawlers. Most fish are able to be tamed to come and be patted.

I love all those cartoons. When we travelled on FM in 2004, my Norwegian vocabulary was such that Mrs Glover had to explain that Måken is seagull - hence the Finnmåk(k)en on the lifebelt.

    Mr Bugge, Sir

Did you mean CHICKEN Tikka Masala or Gull-tikka-masala ?
Funny thing is, in Singapore, Butter Chicken or Tandoori Chicken would be a more popular choice !
Hope that reminds you a little of Singapore, amongst things that you might want to forget ( or forgive ).

And since we're in this thread with Gulls fanciers esp Janihudi , I am contributing a Dagfinn Bakke painting that I took on the Finnmarken in 2014.

    best wishes, all.
