What a very, very unusual sunset, i've never seen anything like those rays sprepading out towards the viewer. Beautiful, Paul.

Thijs, beautifully caught at #549. We call that a mackerel sky, the small puffs of cloud being like a mackerel's scales (or any other scaly fish, come to that!)

Suprising at the variation in light each day, although the photos were taken at roughly the same time. The top half of that one at #554.2 could well have been taken at mid-day. I love the way they vary from what I call a grey silk sky to that sudden burst of glorious peach-pink at #555.2
