Been out photographing with my iPhone again.

On the north side of island Frei, a part of Kristiansund since 2008, they plan to make an area for marine technology industry..., a base and area much like Vestbase.
That means that an area of nature will be flattened and all buildings inside the planned area demolished.
I studied Google Map, both satellite images and terrain map to find old cottages and a way into the area by foot.

The area is marked with this red circle, so you can see where relative to the city

This detailed map show where I found the houses. Colors of circles correspond with color on houses in pictures, the first I came to was yellow

The iphone has a good reputation for photos, I believe. This is a proof.

IMG_7061 by Svein Ludvigsen, on FlickrThen it was the end of flat land, and a downhill slope started down to the last house, an old farm

Then it was the end of flat path to walk, and a short downhill slope was ahead of me down to what is an old abandoned small farm.
The house is down through the wood there, and if you look closely, you'll see Innlandet in the city across the sea there,

Tried it in b/w too, with a few percent of HDR effect to it

The east wall was why I marked this as red

An old Ford Cortina engine hood flattened to serve as a window blockage

A strange feeling to walk around alone down here. How to describe this feeling? Have you ever seen 'Deliverance' with Jon Voight and Burt Raynolds?

And all these were photographed by an old iPhone 6S.

There's a nice mood in those pictures. Almost similar to your Swedish scrapyard venue-pictures.
I kind of like to study the way mother nature affects things created by man.

The iPhone is very good. Some professionals use the iPhone. In combat areas they do not wish to be identified as press photographers with Press vests and big cameras.
Instead they use their iPhones, looking inconspicuous. I have to confess that I'm myself using a Sony.
      Regards; Sigve.
