      Re: What place is this?

I searched all national parks, but could not find ships looking like these.
Is this river cruise related to a national park?

okey i presume that i'll give it away with this.
the vessels are named after to explorers who are inextricably linked.
the one more famous than the other.

Livingstone and Stanley? Not that it helps me much if that is right!

I've been everywhere, man...... found a German battleship called after Livingstone but somehow that doesn't quite have the same ambience.....

I found a 'Lady Livingstone' (boat) - closer, but still not right!

I also presumed Livingstone and Stanley, hence my search of the Zambezi, not that it's got me anywhere. Elusive boats these two.

Ombugge, you have made me change direction very quickly. That suggestion has surely hit the nail on the head. Found a schooner, but so far no "little boats".

Mind you, Thijs does say "inextricably linked".

So, I think I know where we are in S.A. but cannot yet find a boat on water, let alone a boat with the right name.

Your doing better than me then, Ivy! I am guessing we are in a game reserve somewhere, but there are dozens and dozens of them dotted all over South Africa. Searching for things like 'game reserve boat trips', or river cruises just seems to bring up tons of photos taken from aboard the darn boat. I do wish more people would take a shot of the boat they travelled on, not just shots of the Hippo's that they saw on the trip!

I think I've found my river, now need some boats!
I'm probably miles away from the correct area anyway, but meanwhile - as always on this great thread - I'm learning things I never knew!
