That would have been right up your street, wouldn't it?
But no, it is not in the Eastern Med or the Aegean. (Too green for that and the wrong kind of building style I would say)
You have to spread your wings much wider.

Well, actually, as the whole picture is more turquoise than anything else, even desert sand would have a green tinge, wouldn't it? OK,OK, I'm going.....

Ombugge you are a bit teasing with Ivy,I feel.
Puzzle. It could be anywhere the climate is warm and wet.
Three warves,so there is a real maritim activity.Ships seems to be sailing boats or little fishing boats (perhaps competive fishing?).I guess there is a touristic business around.
We don't have a good view of the buildings but shapes and roofs evocate isles in carribean sea or indian ocean as the hill without trees we call 'morne' in french Antilles.
I am not sure but ,almost at the center of the pic. there is a shape looking like a church(catholic or protestant country?).
Well, it does'nt remind me distinctly a place in Seychelles but there is a resemblance.

There's also a radio or radar mast and one wind turbine, no doubt there are more of the latter out of the picture. But I'm not getting anywhere with them so far.

That is correct, anywhere warm and wet, which cover a large part of the world.

Yes a lot of ships passing by but not so many stopping. The fishing is competitive, but what type of "fishing"? Tourists does exist, but not a main business.

That was a wide reaching question, or observations. It is not French Antilles, or any other Antilles for that matter.

Both those and other religions represented. Very multiracial place historically.

                Not in the Seychelles.

Not Japan, but it does have Japanese connections, some good and some bad.

Sharks are there but not a main target. Not anywhere near Mexico.

PS> Sharks would be regarded as more of a problem I would think.

Hmmm - what about the Pacific?

                              Hawaii?

Not Hawaii. Pacific Ocean is big and the border is a bit subjective, as is the Indian Ocean for that matter.
This particular place is not IN either of them.
