I'll tell you what about Tortola - you are spot on, Ombugge. Well done, indeed.
So, back to you. But I'm still mystified as to how Mark got on to the Caribbean and then quickly to the Virgin Isles, albeit the Anerican set.

Anyone know how our Steve is, it is so long since he's been around here? Must email him.

I have been away a few days but when I first looked at this I thought; an old croft house?
But the lush vegetation said not Scotland, as did the lack of chimneys at each end and the large window recesses.
With Mark's Caribbean comment, all I had to do was search for Church ruins Caribbean, and up came this church on Tortola.

Now my problem is to come up with a new and challenging puzzle for everybody to try their skills on.

I see that Steve posted elsewhere two days ago. So hopefully he is alright.

Presumably one of Ombugge's own photos, as there is no mention of later attribution.

Ah, but I have a feeling that cunning Ombugge wants us to think that, while all the time it's...........?

It wouldn't have any connection with the Beagle, by any chance? Or in that part of the world?

As for your last question, it depends on how wide you define "that part of the world". You are in the right hemisphere, if that is what you mean.
No, it is not the Beagle Channel or there abouts.

Maybe a bit of confusion of the term "hemisphere" here.
Yes, the earth can be divided in the South and North hemisphere, but it can also be divided into East and West hemispheres.
                                It is not New Zealand.
