Perfect for a Merc-Driver. They use to wear hats and have a more ore less stocky figure.

              Oi, you two. Watch it!

yes, that is a typical German truckdriver. 99% wearing that type of working trousers.

the Dutch Highway Kings don't look at that.,they look a lot better, more profesionel

Oh that's it! You are sitting in a DAF, not in a Merc. That makes the difference, not the 10 years!

Phew! Finally it is completed. No more driving an unfinished, half-ready vehicle! The emblem with the number is looking like a sport event symbol of 1983, like Basketball World Championship...

Stop grousing, man! Anyway, the scruffy container only makes the HC look smarter and cleaner.

ohh defently, but a Total clean truck would be nice

well ,it started all here ,a year back, though the plans was long before that

                      https://www.captainsvoyage-forum.com...037#post216037

the groundplate was ready for a while it was time to finish it.

if i lay my feet or my ankle in the cupholder i need a hight under the table

                      so this became the plan

the plan i totally forgot while making it, but before we were ready i remembered.
                      best regards Thijs

Yeah well, I can't make head nor tail of that plan.
And you are not meant to stick your plates of meat in the cup-holder.

so i called my Polish Welder Cornelski, which his name would be Cornel here in Holland

and with found and stolen pieces of iron he welded the support for me

and some hours became the whole day
                      best regards Thijs

                        Poor Cornel(ski).
Time you learnt some welding yourself now. Diversify, diversify.

i can welding a little bit, well more baking metaal to eachother.
i had bought years back a hobby welding machine in the time the kids were little and had skelters, i made some trailers for it ,a menure trailer and a recovery trailer.
and sometimes something broke or Peter became to long for the originel size so made it longer
it where strong and big skelters, i can ride on it aswel, they had those wheelbarrow wheels under it

but cornel(ski) is a professional welder, so better to ask him.
maybe i could have done it to, but the weldings would look terrible, not to mention strong enough!!!!

Ah yes, I forgot. But you did once mention having done some welding years ago. Yes, for this job it was certainly best to hand it over to Cornel. Still, it's very useful to have knowledge of welding, so that you can get going on odd jobs which are straightforward and won't be heavy load bearing. You're a right proper old handyman,, aren't you?
And you did some welding on your models, if I remember correctly, very delicate work. Remind me to start nagging you about those models, I was thinking only the other day that they're probably rusting away in a corner of the attic, minus bits which are tucked away in goodness knows which tin underneath goodness knows which heap of whatchamacallits.
                    Working...
