    In this case there does seem to be more concern from Thai people over the redevelopment, and not only from admirers of the Queen Victoria statue. See this from the Association of Siamese Architects (ASA), for example:-

    Yes I do remember you speaking of that teak-mansion near your former home, pakarang, and over the years your posts on the forum and in your blog about surviving old buildings have for sure imspired me on my own explorations..
