Then, walking back from that viewpoint, the fog has really rolled in

The glass walls you see there is the souvenirshop

Had to take this picture. Figure I'm one of those few who have this picture in the middle of the day in July without a single human on that bridge

This was what I asked you to stay tuned for. Hope it was ok...

      ok???!!! Oh my!!!! …TREAT INDEED!!!!!!

I am really impressed by the buildings, walkways and viewpoint …all new since I was here in 2003.
Just look at the simple geometry of the weirs in #120/1, and the angle of the café beyond. And the viewing place itself in the next picture, truly beyond words. Man and Nature, together in what is to me a satisfying and meaningful way.

I’m glad you showed us your feet photo!

Perhaps you were helped by the combination of wet road and the angle and softness of the light that day, but just how brilliantly you’ve captured your “model raceway”! Look at the tangible quality of the hairpin bend where the white vehicle is in #120/3 for example. I feel so strongly the relationship of that bend and the surrounding rocks.
There is something about it I haven’t felt before… the road seems almost alive, and I fancy that if I closed my eyes and then opened them after a few moments it might have stirred and stretched and shifted. The surreal feeling is reinforced in #120/6 with the old route visible, as if this shifting snake had left the trace of its earlier resting place the scree. Or perhaps your childhood analogy is right and the road merely a plaything of the giant mountain troll!

I mustn’t omit mentioning the motif of Vilde’s and the “study in Green” that resulted (#119/2), and also the foggy vista of #121/1, which struck me with its somewhat Asian quality…Japan perhaps.

Trollstigen has truly inspired pakarang and now you in your wonderfully individual ways, and I know I have a hard act to follow on my excursion from Nordstjernen’s cruise later this month!…

Fantastic road trip Sterkoder.... I went to Geiranger too.... but I had sunny, and blue skies.... photos are in the process of being prepared exclusively for CVF.

Have been so busy around here with health, work, holiday, exercising, installing new kitchen, birthdays, partys.... and what not.

Hope to have them ready soon.

Awesome to see the difference in rainy weather.

Some more pictures of Håja and Hillesøya

And from Botnhamn, I think Håja is somewhere in the background

                        From smp.no today: http://kortreist.smp.no/forside/article14789.ece

This little pearl of a place has been picked by CNN Travel among the 10 best "secret" hide-away in Europe.

Not surpriced at all. Have been there several times, both daytrips to experience the place and have dinner, and being a guest over the week-end.
                          Highly recommended!!

I see they still market Håholmen as in Hustadvika in Møre og Romsdal county...., purhaps to sugar the sour pill for the Molde people that this is a pearl at Atlanterhavsveien in Averøy just 35 minutes out of Kristiansund in Nordmøre.

Molde travel agencies has used Atlanterhavsveien and Håholmen as something out of Molde and Romsdal for ages now, without mentioning that this is in Nordmøre close to Kristiansund.

But I guess all PR is good PR, and the main issue is to draw tourists attention, so.....

I don't think many have visited this place:
                            http://kortreist.smp.no/forside/article14812.ece
Hurtigruten pass right near here twice every day, but few would have thought that this could be "home" for anybody.
