Thank you very much, Svein Glad you liked them.
Speaking of summertime and tollboden, makes me long for summer and warm weather...

I too have been to Ålesund, for a few short hours and one night back on January 21st - 22nd 2009: stayed at Thon Hotel down town, made waffles all night long in the restaurant there and walked the rainy streets.

I did however arrive together with some friends just in time to do some shots before the light disappeared the first day: images from the city mountain Aksla: Trollfjord off the dock picking up her rescue boat on port side:

Ålesund: January 22nd 2009: If a fish could have made it up to Aksla, this is the view a fish would have seen: the city through a fish eye lens:

Did you use your 50D on these pictures Jan-Olav? I love the colours in them. So much unlike the colours in my 400D. So much sharper.

Looking through my archives, I just found a couple of pictures taken in Ålesund in June 2006 of the old car ferry "Bilfergen".
Took the liberty to "change" my pictures a bit, but I hope you all enjoy anyhow.....
