Slinningsbaalet will be lighted soon. The boys who have been given the honour to light it this year are climbing unsecured to the top right now: http://www.smp.no/alesund/2017/06/22...ick_articles=2

The passengers and crew of the cruiseship will get a great view - hope the weather holds for the better that night!

For the first time in 4-5 years, I will have a day off work on "Sankthansaften"..... I'm so looking forward to it and hope the weather will be great!

It's that time of the year again. Slinningsbaalet will not set any world record this year (they already have that), but it will be an "esthetic" bonfire we are told.
You may follow the progress here until 24. June, when they will burn it all: http://www.smp.no/nyheter/2017/06/15...ick_articles=2

The "Ocean Majesty" will be in town that night, at least until 2345 hrs. Their departure through the large number of boats likely to be out near Slinningsodden may be a spectacular sight to behold, hopefully without any fatalities.

Here is what it looked like last year:

I knew that both Aalesund and Singapore were somewhat special places, but for different reasons to be sure: http://www.smp.no/pluss/2017/05/29/V...ick_articles=3
But to name them, together with Dubai, as model cities is stretching it.
There is little Aalesund has in common with Dubai and Singapore, but a lot of similarity between the last two

Thank you for your faith in me.
I might, I could..., I don't know. The main reason that I don't draw now (anything) is that there's not enough hours on the clock.
Of course there are, but then we talk about priority ;-)
Funny drawing by the way :-)

I used to love - and still do - these sorts of drawings.... I think Mr.Sterkoder could have made some pretty cool one's with his skills!

Ooops, Sorry, this is apparently some sort of art and part of an open air exhibition together with those white balls and whatnot in the background.

Nice winter weather but cold these last few days.
No snow at low levels and very little even on the mountains:

Yes the famous 1.5-2.0C increase is in the average annual temperature of the entire world in a full year, but when Northern Norway have temperatures above 0C for days and weeks, even as far north as at North cape, it does tell you where the effect of global warming is felt the most.

In Aandalsnes a temperature of 15.8C was recorded a few days ago. In Tafjord it was about the same and in Aalesund 13.5C in the middle of night. This was caused by the Foehn effect, though, not global warming: http://www.weatheronline.co.uk/repor...foehn-wind.htm
