Re: Endless thread ::: Aviation Photographs..

A small plane passed over me this afternoon and I just had time to take a picture before it disappeared.
I leave to the experts to identify the type of aircraft

It looks like a Piper Arrow II. My father has one with a somewhat similar paint scheme.

You are of course quite correct, Dane.
Bengts picture (and now yours) bring back memories from when I flew around Florida in such a plane in the late 1980s, and the type of course being the Piper Pa-28R-200 Cherokee Arrow II. (The R stands for retractable landing gear, nothing more, nothing less).
Seem to remember though, that the ones I flew had the 'modern' type Piper wings and the planes had a two-blade propeller.
Looks like D-EKBF use the airport La Axarquia - Leoni Benabu, Spain for longer periodes of time.

You probably flew the newer Arrow III which had the tapered wings and a wider horizontal stabilizer.

Took a picture of this aircraft at KLIA a few days ago:

I don't know this airline, but with the registration visible I presume someone (Sterkoder??) will tell us all about it?

Well, thanks for having such faith in me....

S2-AVF is a McDonnel Douglas MD-80/90 operated by the Bangladesh company United Airways.
They have three such airplanes, the other two being S2-AEH and S2-AEU.
              Besides them, they fly 2 Airbus A-310, 2 ATR-42/72 and 2 Dash-8.

                Thanks. That was quick.
Does that mean that Bangladesh Biman has got domestic competition?? About time, I say.

I don't recognize this tail logo. Maybe a private jet???

Finally, this B-747F seen for months at Changi Airport:

I believe this one is for sale. (It is lacking the turbines in the motor housings)

I'd gladly buy it but I think shipping and handling could be quite expensive.

That's correct. It's a Boeing BBJ (Boeing Business Jet) and is simply a "businessation" of their famous Boeing 737.
