There is nothing more beautiful than a Thai 747.... well, apart from one taking me home off course.

When looking at a B747 with the upper deck stretching inches by inches year by year...., what was really the "new invention" with the A-380...?
Other than the obvious, an upper deck in the full length of the cabin, I have a feeling of Boeings possibility to say; 'Been there-done that'

Yes, a chute on a passenger plane is pretty rare. I assume more common in your part of the world where the runway may be covered with snow or ice. Re-packing the chute must have greatly added to operating costs and slowed their turn around time.

For the English version, you may wish to use Google translate on this one....

A very interesting article which talks about the general belief that within 2030 there will be twice as many aircrafts occupying the skies.

To make so many aircrafts, 4 new planes will have to be made every single day till then. !

Unusually clean windows: and therefore absolutely spectacular shots!

Unfortunately this was my crappy window for my flight from Paris to Atlanta. It was so bad I had to take a picture of it.

                            You are not alone.
                            I usually get steamy windows.

Just wonder about image nr. 2 in post #366:
I belive setting flaps at what seems to be a considerable hight looks a bit odd...., or is it the standard of "green approaches" in SAS that make them idle into an airport and not set flaps until they are sure to reach the touchdown zone...?
Clearly it must be a difference in the way they do things in NX and SAS.

Otherwise, it was really nice pictures, Tom!!!!
