Picking up an old thread again. This time a series of 'Pilots saying hello!' and four not too good images from inside the aircraft museum at Le Bourget.

Have a further nice day folks!!!

Thanks for posting those Sterkoder, looking at them has reminded me it's been far too long since i last went to an aircraft museum - about 30 years too long in fact! Seeing your photos on this thread and the Concorde thread have given me a sudden urge to visit one this year!

If you ever visit Norway, be sure to go up north and spend a couple of days at our national Norwegian Aviation Museum in Bodø.
I've been to some museums myself, and being a reader of the british aviation magazine FlyPast through 30 years and seeing their reports from various museums around the world...., Bodø is among the top three for sure!

I absolutely endorse that. So much to see and enjoy that I had to extend my stay on my visit there.

Yepp..., that's a Junker Ju-52, the main troop transporter of the invation forces and one of the most important light cargo aircraft of wartime Luftwaffe

I have a dream.... to one day see a JUNKER in flight. I think there was one at the air-museum in Bodø, but, I haven't seen one in the air yet: with my own eyes.

The one at the Luftfartsmuseum in Bodø is a Junkers Ju-52 reg. LN-DAF named "Najaden" of Det Norske Luftfartsselskap.

I've seen a Junkers Ju-52, or "Tante Ju" as they call her, in real life and not the least heared her. But the first time I saw and heared a Ju-52 in real life was back in 1985-86 when a Swiss Air Force Ju-52 had a low-pass over my head while I was on work at Averøy.
She were on a charter from Switzerland to Trondheim (maybe further north also, I don't remember) and back.
She flew at about 3-400 feet and it was quite an experience
The nice thing about this was that the three Ju-52s of the Swiss AF had original BMW engines.

Today these aircraft are flown by Ju-Air on civil swiss register out of their homebase Dübendorf. If I remember correct, the Ju flying ower me that time was A-701, now HB-HOP.

I'm envious.... that must have been an awe-inspiring experience for a young (much younger) Sterkoder.

I can assure you!
And back then I was at my peak when it comes to being interested in aircraft...., and in particular that kind of birds.
I have several books on the aircraft of the wartime german Luftwaffe, and warbirds generally.
When I'm at it, I can also tell you that I had a very special interest in the Grumman fighters of the old days, such as Wildcat, Hellcat and in particular the Bearcat. (Wrote many letters and got tons of info from Grummans representative, Louis Lovisolo, back then).
