Great additions!
Hear-hear...!!
And that's why I've said some plase in CV (or was it another forum), that you must continue to take pictures and tell the world when and where it was taken. If the vessel name is invisible on image, please also write that up, because:
As we now seek images and info on vessels in old archives and every other place we can think of on the internet..., the future "shipnerds" or to be serious, shiphistory interested will seek in OUR info and pictures. The one we make today.
That's why I belive we are doing an important job with all this photographing and not the least and most important for others: posting it.

And by giving each picture a correct and searchable text; name of ship, place, date and other relevant information!!!

Another walk from the camping site to the harbour in the night. There I found a sign expected arrival at 3 a.m. So I was more than one hour to early, but after walking 3 kilometers I thought I should wait. Some lights were too strong...

I loved your recent photos of Nordstjernen, Eilun. So nice to see her passing Munkholmen after my having been to Munkholmen so recently, but it has been over a year now since I have been aboard NX . . .
The night shots are superb, a worthwhile night walk (and wait) indeed.

Absolutely love that last photo of NX going under the bridge!

Just working out where you were standing to take this, and remind me Bengt what lens would it have been you were using?

Thanks for the comments Seagull and pakarang

As you can see from the picture I stood on Nordsjeteen when "NX" was sailing northward.

I used my 80-300 mm lens for these pictures.

Another picture from this day. For you who know the way up to Fjellheisen, the building is just above the chimney of "NX"

Ah so you had walked out there, that explains everything! I had not been able to work out any place “on shore” so to speak that would have given that angle with unobstructed view, especially with more restricted access between the hurtigrute quay and the Rica Hotel than used to be the case. Though along that quay would be twice the distance away from the bridge when you come to look at it on a map-view, hence the added question about your lens.

Big thank you. I love these sort of CV adventures we have –not just admiring a stunning photo, but it leading to all sorts of virtual walks in the city and “getting out a map” and recollecting visits made and photos taken. . . AND admiring dear NX of course!

Thank you, Eilun and Asimut, for these pictures of Nordstjernen. What grace is there, compared to the "in your face", top heavy aspect of the modern fleet. I'm being very damning in that latter remark and it won't be popular, but it is what I feel.

I'm still amazed that, in Norway, we have a 54 year old passenger ship still in service.

Same here, Jan Olav, and delighted. The low, sleek lines of the older ships perfectly epitomise movement as compared to the modern ones - it is like comparing an arrow to a cannon ball.

Nice pictures talfh! Fine to see soo many passengers aboard. The 4th picture together with the HSC is impressing. How many ship generations are between these two....?
