    Default Queen Victoria

    Queen Victoria

Shamefully, even though we already have threads for the other Queens (Queen Elizabeth 2, Queen Elizabeth 3, and Queen Mary 2) I just realized we do not have any thread for the Queen Victoria.

    So this is it:

Starting with an image taken by my father in Trondheim last year, 2008:

That last one with the swans is good. Use some photo editing software to make the horizon level and it would be great!

sorry ,can't help you. i am a nitwit in computers,i am not one of those guy's who can do everything with those stupid machines.

is there a standard program in the computer for that,or most i download that somewhere

that picture was taken with the camera on waterlevel and only with my finger as space between water and camera and the water wasn't kalm.
so that is one of the rasons that the horizon isn't flat, and my shoes on slippery stones and at waterlevel was the horizon not the most important thing for me

I think the photograph is great for what it is- a very unusual look at QV and the swans It would have been good to straighten the horizon but if it means the difference between posting or not posting- then I'm really pleased you posted it Well done!

I hope the swans eventually saw what was approaching and got out of the way

janihuid... those are indeed wonderful images of the Queen in rotterdam!

This image below is my favorite. I took the opportunity to tweak them a little, and it is a fantastic image!

I don't think there's such a thing as photoshopping for nitwits...it's a process of playing with photoshop!!! I have two courses I downloaded from an online school and I have yet to "finish" them!!!! It's more fun to play around with all the "thingies" ....

Sometimes digital cameras come with photo editing software... does Photobucket have such? Picasa has some, I think.....Shutterfly, too.
    Cheers!!

Ooohh...there's an idea to add to our ever-lengthening "to do" list...a "this is how I did THIS" in Photoshop" thread...I'll get right on it after I post here, clean the house, do the laundry, finish the cookbook, knit my unfinished objects, paint the needlepoint canvas comissions, weed the herb garden,............
    Cheers!!

Ha Ha!!!!!! so you've already done your 365 for today then??!!!!!!!!!!!

I can never be bothered with these "courses" and don't even often read instruction manuals that come with things....
I've found I seem to learn stuff best when I've encountered some problem or have a need to do something that makes me ask "Is there some way I could do that".

But your "this is how I did THIS" idea appeals to me E, because it implies that I'm interested enough in the "THIS" in the first place to want to know more. Loved SAintsFCFan's video demo of rendering a ship funnel for example (though I still can't begin to grasp the stage 1 of being confronted with a blank computer screen and somehow drawing the first bit of an outline of a ship (or whatever the first thing he does is).

not a nitwit- we've all been through this . It's something to best experiment with on a rainy day when you've nothing more important to do ... it can take a lot of time to learn.

Perhaps your computer's operating system has a basic image editing programme installed?

Queen Victoria looks really stunning... the black hull and her funnel really fits with the landscape.

I also like the fact that Cunard has the best and most beautiful waterline: red with a white stripe! Looks awesome!
