    Thank you so much!
It's always a challange to get pictures worthy of public view in rainy weather.
In addition to only getting blury pictures, it's also some kind of challange to get positioned so that the lense don't fill up with raindrops

Got this one just as I parked my car at work early this beautiful Thursday morning. I had to retrieve my camera in a hurry, because she was just passing in the view between two floodlight masts at Vestbase

The 15 months old "Edda Frende" in the fantastic morning light we have in Kristiansund when the sun is shining

EDIT: I have not edited colour saturation..., if anyone wonders

Finally, there they are those magnificent images from Bergen!!!
I've already seen them on the norwegian forum, where I frequently visit as a guest, and I could almost not wait until you posted at CV to tell you what beautiful work you are doing!!
May we look forward to more pictures taken in darkness as the winter approaches??

I thought you would have some comments there.

By the way, the name was not mispelled, she has just changed flag from Singapore to Malaysia. Home port is now Port Klang. (As of 13. Aug. 2010)

The name is now Pasifik Viper, as spelled in Bahasa Malayu.
Everything else remain the same, including the logo, which is sheared with all other Swire companies in the world, incl. HSBC, Cathay Pacific, China Navigation, Taikoo, just to name some of the major ones.

If anybody is interested, here is a link to a brief history of the Swire Group and its founder; http://www.swire.com/eng/about/history.htm

    Thank you, 'ombugge'!
As I already know the story and history of my employer, it was still very intyeresting to read again
Interesting to learn also about the name of the vessel and way of writing. Thanks!!

I'm sure you knew, but maybe not everybody else does. A lot of people does associate the Swire logo only with HSBC, not with one of the original "Hongs" in China, even if they have read "Taipan". Even fewer associates "Taikoo Sugar" or Blue Funnel Line/Alfred Holt with Swire.

I notice that HSBC doesn't appear in the history, nor organization chart for John Swire & Sons or Swire Pacific?

Read the Swire history a couple of years ago, so I don't remember every word, but: I can't remember (right now) seeing HSBC in conjunction with Swire, and wasn't HSBC established by a scotsman, a Mr. Sutherland or something back in the 1860s??
Swire is a family company (yes, considered so also today) established and run by the Swire family from Liverpool.
I've studied the company chart of the hole Swire Group (took a while) and HSBC is absent also there....

But by all means, correct me if I'm wrong, because one of my rules of living is to try and learn at least one new thing each day
