Superb photos from Asimut and Speedbird, but even more than that for me was the feeling of being able to follow the progress of Normand Prosper passing along the coast. Great CV teamwork guys!
Brilliant shots - as usual from the high north!

"IF GOD COULD MAKE ANGELS...., WHY IN HELL MAKE MAN?"
Tom's picture from the cruiseship thread: (Thank you for letting me borrow it)
"Costa Atlantica" leaving Oslo, and in the sunlight, a rather distinct hull comes forward, with the "load" of a hotel on top.
To me, the hull looks like the outlines of an offshore supply vessel, and this led me to wonder:
In the old days we saw small offshore vessels, with the size gradually increaseing over the years.
Today we see large, huge offshore vessels, like "Skandi Acergy" and such, but have we seen the top of size in this segment of vessels...???
Are all the different offshore vessels today built at perfect size for its mission, or do we think it will be a demand in the future for larger and larger vessels...?
And I guess there will be less and less use for clean supply vessels in the future and more demands for special purpose vessels, as the production will move from surface based to seabed based constructions.
I don't know. Just thinking out loud inspired by Tom's picture![]()
