I like Adobe Lightroom which makes common photo editing tasks easy. The crop feature putes a grid over your picture so you can easily get the water level.

A sailor does not ask about the headwind. he learns to sail....
Interesting vessel Jack.... I wonder if this used to be some kind of fishing vessel in her previous life. She reminds me of a type of Norwegian (?) fishing vessel that I have seen on some occasions...

"Island Wellserver" in Kristiansund this afternoon
"Ocean Endeavour" also today, in front of "Midnatsol". (I have 'millions' of images with "Midnatsol", so no pictures of her today).
This odd vessel is doing oceanographic and research work.

"IF GOD COULD MAKE ANGELS...., WHY IN HELL MAKE MAN?"
Yeah...., too small.Originally a Cable layer, but now too small for that market.
Got me thinking about "Ocean Sky" (ex. Stad Sky, Far Sky and Pan Sky) and any other UT704 for that matter.
When she was built back in 1975, it was one of the largest offshore vessels I've seen. Now...., compared to the large offshore vessels we have around today, it seems like a lifeboat (slightly overstated).

If I haven't told you before, you deliver quite some interesting images. Keep it coming!![]()
"IF GOD COULD MAKE ANGELS...., WHY IN HELL MAKE MAN?"
Wow...., things are moveing so fast in this thread, so I guess I'll have a go at your question, Jan-Olav:
I've turned some pages on the internet upside-down, and I can't find anything that suggest "Vos Westwind" has been a norwegian trawler.
Found out of course that it was built in 1977 and that a former name is "Gulf Pride".
"IF GOD COULD MAKE ANGELS...., WHY IN HELL MAKE MAN?"
I see this ship was built as a Canadien trawler back in 1977 and her first name was "Cape Sambro". Nothing indicates that she have been a Norwegian trawler.
