Just to say I have started!

I thought it would be a symbolic start to get up in the early hours and walk to the “town mountain” of Arthur’s Seat (beyond Holyrood Palace) and up to the summit (height 823 ft) for traditional May Day watching the sunrise (there’s also the bit about washing one’s face in morning dew for an exquisite complexion, but mine’s beyond salvation!!!!).

So at around 05:45 – 06:00 (depending which attempt looks best) I took my FIRST PHOTO …. of the FOG and featureless CLOUD !!!!!!!!!!

I found before that it was more efficient (or at least worked out best for me) to post the photos a week at a time. But just wanted to say that with a complicated week and a half followed by travels for two weeks, it may be a while before I catch up and get into a routine.

But you can be sure that the photos will be being taken daily.

Whether you want to see them is another matter entirely, but that’s not really what it’s about…I just want to show my commitment to CaptainsVoyage, and to support and thank pakarang in the best way possible.

"followed by travels" means "followed by a Baltic symphony"!!!

It will be absolutely worth waiting for some days!!

Ummmmm….except that it was doing SS365 last time that has resulted in my STLL catching up with showing you trips to Greenland and Thailand!

So now that SS366 has begun, that “Baltic Symphony” might be a while coming to CVF….

…on the other hand, I might just compromise by showing you Discovery on my return, and leave it to Lady E later in the summer to tell you about those Baltic port destinations we have in common!

Ummmmmmmmmmmm--leaving it to Lady E might be dangerous...as you all have probably noted, I have YET to share photos of LAST SUMMER's CRUISE!!!!!!!!

(more than just a LITTLE guilt hanging over my head.....) But it's on my to-do list. I had a rather tiny little problem creep up in my life the second half of last year......
    Cheers!!

No guilt required E… I am sure you have already posted the VERY BEST photos, the ones that we REALLY wanted to see from last year’s cruise, on Lookchin’s thread!

I do want to see them, I do, I do...

Thank you so very much for making this journey with me. I have no words to explain how much I appreciate your commitment.

But, as Ivy and Lady C, has already started their magical journey together with me: where are all the others that also committed themselves?

A friend of mine has also started his own project, and I know I have managed to convince him signing up here also...

It is my hope and wish that he will join us here at CVF soon and share his own project in a new thread at http://www.captainsvoyage-forum.com/...Rookie-and-PRO

In the meanwhile, take a look at his project so far:

    http://frodeleirvik.wordpress.com/

I really like his project: it is very creative and captivating, very inventive and it has a certain charm to it. He shoots all his images with cellphone only.

Ha has signed up and I hoping some day he'll pop in to us.

And yes, it would have been awesome if also Dane would join us, because I do like what he is sharing with us.

… the feeling tired one: “Anything faster than Adagio seems like a timelapse…
…the BBQ one: “ Doomsday! No erupting volcanos. No stinking sulphur. No earthquakes. No horsemen and no saviour in sight. Just good friends dropping by for a little BBQ!”

oh and “A rainy day, but no Vogons” -and tell him that’s one of my favourite images!

I have tried to encourage him to post it here as well, but I have not been successful at it yet.
