Default A trip to Bodø Air Museum

A few pics from yesterdays visit to the Air Museum. A good test for my new camera

The museum is shaped like a two blade propeller with the main entrance and cafè in the hub and a military exhibit in the north blade and a civilian exhibit in the south blade. On top of the hub is the old control tower from Bodø airport.

    Wow..., great!!!
Since I must be the one not knowing what type your new camera is...., what make and model is it??
And for my future visit to the museum, did you find a fisheye appropriate, or what lense are you using for these photos??
I've visited the museum four times, but not since I got my digital camera, so it might be time for yet another visit.
Thanks for posting though...., do you have more...?? Please!

Thank you! Well, i haven`t really told anyone yet but it`s a Canon EOS 5D MK2, the same as Pakarang got.
I chose the EF 17-40 F4L lens for the visit since it`s wide angle (17mm on the 5D equals about 11mm on a 1.6 crop camera) , reasonably bright and have superb image quality.
It`s very dark in the museum so it will put a strain on the camera`s ISO performance but the 5D is really amazing! Many of the pictures you see here were shot at ISO 3200 with only minimal noise removal in post processing, something i couldn`t even dream about with the 7D!
I didn`t bring any other lenses but next time i`ll take my 24-105 or 70-300 for more detail shots.
I have a few more pics laying around i`ll post later!

Thank you so much for thechnical info!
My Pentax works ok at ISO 3200, and at 1600, hardly having any noice at all.
So, I should be very well equipped then if I bring my 18-200 and the 10-17.
    Thanks again!

    Yes, I will!
Have not set any date or year yet, but I'm fairly sure I will visit the museum again, specially since the exhibit has got a few new items since the last time I was there.
(And from my previous visits, I've learned to like Bodø alot, so....)

Nice shots Speedbird, museums tend to be quite tricky to shoot. You get a nice personal touch in those pictures, maybe it's the colors?
And congratulations to the new body, looking forward to some more wonderful Bodø twilights.

My absolute favorite at that museum is the Braathens aircraft!

Great shots.... want to go back there again!
