Well..., ok. I just couldn't find that those two wheelhouses were the same. As you point out...., fiction, illusion. They MUST have done something to the wheelhouse (bridge) on that upper picture, because they are not the same. Although, I agree 100% that the hull and all the rest belong to LILAC :-)

I was also wondering, because the wheelhose from the front is looking real wide, which doesnt seem to be, if you see it from behind.
But pictures you find in the net from a similar angel confirm that it actually looks like that.

Oh my goodness..... I'm so impressed that you were able to positively identify this veteran!

I have no idea what the names of these two veterans may be, but the most modern one is called something like BESTE or BESTEN....:

In 2013 I posted an enquiry about an old "Hardanger jekt" on another forum and quickly got basic info and even contact with the grandson of the former Owner.
In Dec. 2015 he posted some pictures of the Betlehem: http://www.skipsfarts-forum.net/read...ID=7127&page=3

But there is still no answer to my question; what happened to this beautiful classical jekt?
Can anybody on CVF help to find out?

Anybody know the story behind this one, seen in Aalesund today?:

PS> Maybe not so unknown. I checked and found her in post # 210 in this very forum

I might be wrong here, but I believe the vessel in post 246 was listed for sale some years ago, at the Norwegian second hand website finn.no

It reminds me of one that I saw listed for sale there... I could be wrong.

This old vessel was in Aalesund a few days ago:

Obviously an old hull but no info on what, where from and to, or anything else.
                Anybody know anything about this??

Did it come towed or did it make it's way under own power?

I can see there is smoke coming out from a tiny funnel - but that is probably only eggs and bacon for breakfast being prepared?

I believe it is now at Sunnmore Museum. I'll get some pictures and do some investigation soon.

OK. We were at Sunnmore Museum today and I got a better look at the vessel above:

                  She is named Elimina:

But I still don't know much about here. The only thing I found was this picture from Fosenkaia, Trondheim in 1995:
                  http://trhweb.trondheim.folkebibl.no..._/32ac6c5.html
With a Trondheim expert around there may be a hop of deciphering the mystery from there??

                  Here are some more pictures:

I suspect she may have something to do with Bergen:

(If she was from Trondheim the sign would have been "E.C.Dahls" I suspect)

Could this be the same boat?

That looks very much like the same boat. NowI have to find out why it is here and what is being planned.
Anybody have any idea where she has been between 2005 and now, or anything about Helge Larsen, Fjellværsøya??

                    Interesting link from 2005.

I also came across some more information (in Norwegian) at this link: http://docplayer.me/10181384-Prospek...mina-lfwh.html

There is 1 minute of advertisements you have to see first to hear the story of the ship. As far as I can see, it's the same information as found in Azimut's link.

I wonder if the ELMINA has been purchased by the museum, or is going to be restored there?

I think the Elmina belongs to private person(s), but not sure.
There are several other privately owned boat at the "marina" belonging to the museum. (See Sunnmore Museum thread)
