            .... being politically correct, I don't dare comment on that one... but you are right, she does look good and ready for sandblasting.

              I think it's fantastic that she is making news like this, lets hope it raises awareness in America that they still have this fantastic record holding ship, perhaps then things will start to happen. Also good to hear about the Connecticut Firm that seems to be getting involved. If true i am sure they will have the money to get the show on the road.

              £250 million for a complete refit, boy, this country's just blown £24 Billion on the Olympics, makes $250 million sound like nothing. We could have chucked them the 250 and not even noticed it gone!

                        I am not sure how much further ahead they really are;

                        "We've had a number of potential partners on board, and we're talking to a few that seem quite interested in moving forward,"
                        I do not want to sound negative, but they still do not seem to have any guaranteed offers on the table. I certainly hope that these interested parties are so interested that they can come up with the investment needed.

                          It will be exiting to see what the future holds... she has soon outlived almost every single oceanliner of yesteryears.

                            My hat goes off to them, who would have thought it possible she could have survived like she has.

                            And how about this for a fact - The S.S United States was laid up in 1969, the very same year that the QE2 entered service. And amazingly we could soon be in a situation where the Big Blue out lives the QE2!
