I tend to agree, but there is also a part of me that dreams of seeing, and experiencing what it might have been like, back then.
Whether I think she'll actually be built or not? hmmmmm... no idea. Surprise me.
Yep, lets see if she actually gets built first. We see so many ideas for various ships, most of them never become a reality.
But if she was built, and she was indeed a near replica to the original, i for one would want to see her. It would be so strange to see her sailing out from Southampton and along the Solent. I think it would be a magical and very thought provoking sight. If you watched her leave the Solent and disappear from sight, i am sure it would be impossible not to stop and think back to the last time she made that journey and what lay ahead for her and her passengers.
I would not think the new ship would be an insult to the memory of the passengers of the original Titanic, i would see it more like a fabulous memorial to all those that lost their lives. She would keep the memory of the disaster very much alive. And new generations of people would be compelled to learn more about the ship and it's fate.
I really hope she is built, but time will tell if that is to be a reality.
Your charts, your radar, your eyes and ears - if all 4 agree, you may proceed with caution.
