You've got me confused pakarang! Isn't that BBC news from Octovber 2013? I thought the Asian hotel thing had fallen through. But there have been recent speculations including an interest in her coming back to Glasgow! I'll look out the reference when I'm not mobile.

WAOW. Well spotted. That completely passed my check....

Yes, you are so correct, that plan eventually fell through the drain hole.

Though, that being said, the owners recently confirmed that the ship WOULD NOT be scrapped, but nothing official on their website, nor any information what is to come.

she is not gooing look any better there

It may look a little worse than it actually is. Those streaks are leaking grease and lubrication from the grease-nipples on the fairway-rollers.

A common problem on all the cruiseships I have served.

I couldn't find the exact thing I'd read earlier, but it was similar speculation to this report.

The BBC also recently came up with a briefer version here.

Time flies like a jet-aircraft.... and the QE2 still lingers in Dubai awaiting the future of her service...

Great time to look back at what she was built for:

Not sure whether many of you have seen this film / documentary from a Queen Elizabeth 2 crossing....

I loved it because it's so late 80's / early 90's.... while there was still romance in a crossing. Wonderful memories came flooding - memories from the big blue ship.

Also very interesting to hear what the navigators say about their Captain..... things have certainly changed since this was recorded.
