                        • Nice ship. And you also did do some paparazzi!

How many tenders does that ship actually have?

                          • Oh my ...Wonderful, Wonderful as I said earlier in a blog comment.
You did absolutely everything, including a "fjord pakarang view" of the Royal Yacht and a superb "passing Munkholmen" shot complete with sailors in uniform - I feel I can see your smile and hear you saying to yourself "those are sure to please Lady C" !

It is indeed a shame that KH didn't rise to the occasion. It feels as if tradition has been allowed to ebb away along with that ship's once rather regal interior.

                            • I have no idea how many tenders and boats they carry, but I'm surprised at the number as well. And they were all so very, very ... ehhh... shiny too...

I totally agree with you Lady C, I often feel that tradition is ebbing slowly away in so many layers of society. The pride having such a marvellous royal family is not with the generations of today. I especially see this in the difference between Norway and Thailand for example.

                              • A very nice series of photographies of our Royal Yacht, I like'em a lot. And I must say, that sign on that AUDI...., even I know it's not an A-2 (mohahahahahahahaha)

Seriously, Jan-Olav..., I really enjoy your pictures, thank you so very much from sharing.
The reason for me getting good access in Kristiansund was that they manage to dock at the wrong quay first. That allowed me to walk down on the pontoons of the sundbåten and the floating quay of the smaller fishing vessels in this harbour. That gave me access from the outside when they docked, even though I did not have a boat. And then I had The Pier.
Kristiansund harbour is great in that way
"IF GOD COULD MAKE ANGELS...., WHY IN HELL MAKE MAN?"
