    One of our dear family members shared this cool interactive link to the controls of VS propulsion...

    I found it interesting to play with, both the joystick option and the rudder option.

    I'm amazed at the maneuverability of the system and the tug.... and the whole set up, it must have taken a lot of research to come up with such a system.

    Play around with it, and see how easy it is to maneuver the tug, turn and go from forward to astern.

    I guess the downside to such a propulsion arrangement would be all the movable parts.

    And the fact that it is vulnerable to deb rise in the water and to damages from groundings. Old technology that has been bypassed by newer inventions.
